Baptismal Preparation (for Parents of Infants and children under 6)

ulolfuqm8kghyhb519amldv1ywl.jpgCongratulations on your new son or daughter! We are looking forward to preparing you to raise your child in the faith practices of the Catholic Church. This begins with the celebration of the Baptism. The steps to this celebration are:
  • Contact the Pastoral Minister to begin the paperwork and to discuss the Baptism.

  • If you are not already active members of the parish, we encourage parents to join the parish and become participating members for at least two months. (see Joining the Parish)

  • If this is your first or second child, we ask that you attend Baptismal Preparation with our Deacon. The best time to attend this class is before the birth of your baby, before you are busy caring for a newborn.

  • This one evening class is offered six times per year, so it is good to sign up early. The class will help answer questions that you may have about the Baptism ceremony and selecting Godparents.

  • After you and your spouse complete the Baptism Preparation session, you will be able to schedule your baby’s Baptism.

  • Baptisms can be celebrated during or after the 5:00 Mass on Saturdays or during or after the 10:45 Mass on Sundays.
