Acolytes
Spiritual Life and Worship
An Acolyte serves as a minister of the liturgy. They assist in the celebration of Mass by preparing the altar, the gift table, and the presider’s table. They light the candles, carry the cross and hold the books for the presider to read. During Communion, they assist with the distribution of the Eucharist and clear the altar.
