Women's Morning of Reflection

Disciple Formation

The Women’s Morning of Reflection ministry plans and holds the Women’s Morning of Reflection event which is usually held the second Saturday of November. It is an opportunity to gather the women of Seton, along with the women from St. Luke and Holy Apostles, for a morning of prayer and reflection. It usually involves one or more presenters speaking on a particular scriptural theme. This retreat normally occurs in November of each year. It gives all of the women a chance to leave behind the stresses of daily life and spend time getting to know the love of Jesus.

Volunteer Opportunities

We would love to have women of ALL ages join the committee to help plan and host the event. We are looking for a wide range of skills from prayerful women to serve in a variety of ways:

  • committee planning

  • food shopping & serving arrangements

  • setting up the event atmosphere & table decorations in Sippel Hall

  • registration & welcoming attendees

  • preparing nametags

  • arranging for a presenter

  • outreach collection

  • clean up

  • evaluations

Follow Jesus - Serve Others

As much as this is a time of personal reflection with Jesus, we see the women enjoy being served by the committee, for even this short amount of respite from their daily routine.

Reflecting on this Ministry

This event is a collaborative effort with St. Luke Parish, but the majority of attendees are not only from Seton and St. Luke. The fact that this ministry is providing to the larger community make the efforts even more worthwhile.
